Originally billed as the affordable prestige car for the average American back in 1958, the new Chevrolet Impala certainly offers the convenience and comfort of a large full-sized sedan at a reasonable price. The success of the Chevrolet Impala has distinguished it as the flagship vehicle of Chevrolet’s car line-up.

The 2008 Chevrolet Impala boasts upgrades that include new engines, better handling, and improved interiors. It is slightly larger than the normal sedan which results to more room for its passengers. In addition, the car is supplied with a front bench seat that allows it to carry up to six passengers compared to the standard maximum of five.

It is available in four trim levels:LS, LT, LTZ and the SS. The LS comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 211 hp. The LT and the LTZ, on the other hand comes with a 3.9-liter V6 engine capable of producing 240 hp. The SS version is equipped with a 5.3-liter V8 amounting into a massive 303 hp. All models are front-wheel drive and all utilize a four speed automatic transmission.
